May 14, 2013 –Honolulu, Hawaii– Element Media, Inc., Hawai’i’s trend-setting, custom publishing firm and originator of Pacific Edge Magazine, announces its partnership with HiFi, the Hawai’i Fashion Incubator, to highlight the convergence of the local business and fashion industries at the exclusive 3rd Annual Pacific Edge Magazine Business Achievement Awards Gala. The award-winning magazine and HiFi will collaborate to create a red carpet style blog and Best-Dressed Award for this year’s event to be held on Thursday, May 30th, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at The Waterfront at Aloha Tower Marketplace.
As Hawai’i’s cutting-edge business and lifestyle publication, Pacific Edge Magazine holds a pulse on emerging trends and the dynamic, creative growth of the local fashion industry. Hawai’i is quickly becoming internationally recognized for its support of fashion designers and stylists. By partnering with HiFi for its red carpet gala, Pacific Edge Magazine will draw attention to the importance of HiFi’s mission to elevate Hawaii’s fashion industry, and promote the upcoming Hawai’i Fashion Month in October 2013.
Through this unique partnership, HiFi Members Kyle Kagamida and Geremy Campos – two of Hawai’i’s leading fashion stylists– will create custom looks for the gala and blog about red carpet fashion tips throughout the month of May on the event’s press page at: http://www.pacificedgeawards.com/pressupdate-blog/. They will then join HiFi co-founders Melissa White and Toby Portner to select the “Best-Dressed” male and female at the 3rd Annual Pacific Edge Magazine Business Achievement Awards Gala live from the red carpet on Thursday, May 30th. Those chosen as “Best Dressed” will be called to the stage during the presentation portion of the evening and awarded gift certificates for styling services and classes or merchandise at the Hifi COOP at Ward Warehouse.
“As a fashion-lover myself, I’m excited about the vibrant evolution of this Hawai’i industry. Pacific Edge Magazine has long been a supporter of our local designers and stylists. So, by integrating a fashion component into our Business Achievement Awards Gala, we are not only adding a fun twist for our guests, but highlighting the significance of this growing industry,” said Naomi Hazelton-Giambrone, co-founder of Element
Media, Inc. and co-publisher of Pacific Edge Magazine.
“Partnering with Pacific Edge Magazine as a leading business publication highlights the importance of fashion not just as entertainment, but as industry. Hawaii has a tremendous wealth of talent and a powerful fashion legacy, and it is Hifi’s mission to showcase that talent to the world through partnerships such as this. This event provides a small taste of what is to come in October during the first annual Hawaii Fashion Month, which Hifi is proud to be Co-Chairing along with State Senator Will Espero,” said Melissa White, HiFi co-founder.
