June 10, 2013 –Honolulu, Hawai‘i– Element Media, Inc., Hawai‘i’s premier custom publishing firm specializing in magazine publishing, integrated marketing and events, hosted the exclusive 3rd Annual Pacific Edge Magazine Business Achievement Awards Gala on Thursday, May 30th at Pier 10 at Aloha Tower Marketplace. This prestigious event recognizes the impressive achievements of Hawai‘i’s leading companies, non-profits, business professionals and educators through its ten distinctive award categories.
Element Media, Inc. was delighted to receive over 110 nominations from a vast array of businesses, non-profits and educational organizations throughout the state of Hawai‘i for the awards. Award nominations were collected and judged by an independent panel of six, esteemed business leaders. The winners of each category were announced at the 3rd Annual Pacific Edge Magazine Business Achievement Awards Gala on Thursday, May 30th during the evening’s presentation ceremony.
The Third Annual Pacific Edge Magazine Business Achievement Awards Gala on at Aloha Tower was a spectacular gathering from start to finish. Guests entered the sold-out black-tie event on the red carpet and were photographed and interviewed by paparazzi. Mrs. Hawaii International, Keikilani Ho, greeted and ushered guests into the cocktail area, where hors d’oeuvres were provided by Tanioka’s Seafoods and Catering and Grey Goose Vodka cocktails, recipes courtesy of mixologist Joey Gottesman, were enjoyed with Kona Brewing Company beer and Barefoot wine and champagne, setting the scene for an environment ripe for conversation and networking.
Award finalists and Hawai‘i’s professional business elite packed the venue, making the event an experience to remember and the most celebrated red carpet business event to date. Inside the dining rooms, guests were treated to a fine specialty dinner prepared by Chef Kanani Lincoln of Hale Aina Caterers. During the meal, Pacific Edge Magazine featured musician in 2008, Na Hoku and Grammy Award-winning slack-key guitarist Jeff Peterson performed and set the mood local style.
The awards ceremony celebrated professionals and companies in ten categories and were emceed by Maleko McDonnell, the radio host of “Maleko’s Room” on Star 101.9. At the end of the ceremony, two guests were awarded the “Best Dressed” of the evening by the Hawaii Fashion Incubator, and one lucky recipient received the door prize: 40,000 Alaska Airlines miles, good for one round trip ticket anywhere Alaska flies. Olelo Community Media was on hand to record the festivities, which will be broadcast in late June and early July on Olelo channels Focus 49 and Oahu 55.
